Intel had recently launched its next generation of processors, which created a new category of ultra-high-end X-series processors, these Cascade X flagship processor comes with higher Clock speeds with higher RAM capacity and compatible up to 256GB with 2,933 MHz DDR4 RAM
This new generation of processors is called Cascade X, and its flagship processor, It's available in Intel 10th Generation Cascade X series Processors Core i5, Cascade X series Processors Core i7, Cascade X series Processors Core i9 and Cascade X series Processors Core i9 Extreme. The 18-core, Core i9-10980XE will be going for $949. The price tag is far from affordable, but it’s much more affordable compared to the previous generation Skylake X’s best at $2,000. Other models in the series will also be more affordable in comparison, including the 10-core i9-10900XE ($590), 12-core i9-10920XE ($689) and 14-core i9-10940XE ($784).
Other improvements include 72 lane support for PCIe 3.0, WiFi 6, and faster Ethernet. Intel says that these new 10th Gen Cascade X chips will land in November. The timing is conveniently close to AMD’s release of its 16-core Ryzen 9 chips, which are also expected to arrive in November.
