Broadwell is the code name of new Intel processors. Broadwell is the second processor in its Haswell microarchitecture. Previously Haswell processor are built on 22nm micro architecture and the new predecessor of Haswell. Broadwell is build on 14nm micro architecture. It is the first 14nm micro architecture processor build for the latest computers (LGA1150 socket), laptops (PGA socket), ultrabook (less than 15 W TDP class, SoC), tablets (less than 10 W TDP class, SoC) and latest upcoming devices.

Intel demos Haswell vs Broadwell at IDF 2013, shows lower power consumption, higher performance
Earlier in September Intel demonstrated 14nm Broadwell ULT (Y-series) silicon, Intel's faster, smaller, more efficient Broadwell chip is normalized for performance against 22nm Haswell ULT (Y-series) silicon running a multi-threaded Cinebench test. Intel was monitoring SoC power during the benchmark and demonstrated a ~30% reduction in power, at the same performance level.
