Freezone is International Program. It is supported by many national and International carriers (Network operators). In India the Freezone program is new and only few network operators are offering Free Zone.
What is Freezone?
Free Zone is a bundle offered by mobile operators in association with Google that allows you to use Google+, Gmail, and Google Search for free. It’s available on most internet-enabled mobile phones.
When you use these Google products through Free Zone on your mobile phone, you won’t be charged for data. You can use Free Zone even if you haven't subscribed to a data plan with your operator.
Network Operators offering Freezone :
- Philippines - Globe (As of November 2012)
- Sri Lanka - Dialog Axiata (As of April 2013)
- India - Airtel (As of June 2013)

Currently only Bharti Airtel supports Freezone in India, as of June 2013. You can check the offcial here. Airtel offers Freezone with that Data cap of 1GB per month. Browsing Google search, Gmail and Google+ will not change. If you click any external link then you will redirected to your operator site, suggesting you to subscribe a Data Pack.
We hope Freezone for Tata Docomo, Aircel, MTS, Idea Cellular, Reliance Communications, Vodafone, BSNL, Virgin Mobile India, Uninor, Videocon, MTNL, Loop Mobile, Ping Mobile and etc will also arrive soonly on all other networks.
To use Freezone follow below steps:
1. Visit : " http://g.co/freezone " or " http://airtel.in/freezone " from your default internet broswer
2. Start Browsing, You may need to sign in to your "Google Account" or Create Google Account. Freezone doesn't work if your account is enabled the 2-factor authentication.
3. If a green bar appears on top of page, which means you are using Google Freezone.
