Visit NVIDIA Download center
Choose your required machine and GPU hardware type, click Search, then click agree to terms and conditions to behind Download.
$ chmod +x ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-xxx.xx.run
Install as Superuser.
$ sudo ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-xxx.xx.run
then follow on screen installation steps to complete.
For any Display drivers problems or xconfig problems or blank screen problems you can reconfigure you machine to use NVIDIA Display drivers. Follow as below.
While booting you ubuntu machine choose "Recovery mode" and then boot as root user.
Machine will be booted into NON-GUI Terminal mode with superuser access.
Now navigate to where you have download NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-xxx.xx.run
then follow on screen installation steps to complete.

First you need to make the download driver executable with chmod.$ chmod +x ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-xxx.xx.run
Install as Superuser.
$ sudo ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-xxx.xx.run
then follow on screen installation steps to complete.
If you promoted to configure xconfig then please go ahead.
Troubleshooting NVIDIA Display drivers on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
