Galaxy Gear has come up with the Super AMOLED display with the 1.63 inch with the satisfying sharp 278 PPI. It has been crammed with the resolution of 320*320 pixels into that smaller screen. It is provided with only one physical button which is located at the top right of the device. It is powered by 800 Mhz processor clock and the 512 MB RAM which is quite reasonable to fit into that small device.

It is provided with the 1.9 mega pixel camera which is fine to take pics readily. It also has the support to square video (506*506 pixels), but can only take video upto 15 seconds. The watch also has a couple of microphones so you can talk into your wrist to make phone calls, look up information, or take memos. Like most phones these days, the Gear comes with some pre-installed apps, and then there are a handful others you can download from Samsung's mini app store. It comes pre-installed with apps for Notifications, Weather, Voice Memo, Camera, Photo Gallery, Media Controller, Pedometer, Calculator and S Voice.

Galaxy Gear has the ability to receive gmail notifications but it does not opens the mail. So your galaxy smart phone or tablet has to be used. It is pre-loaded with Samsung's Gear manager software. Basically, any customization you want to do for your device is done through this app. It notifies users of incoming messages, such as calls, texts, emails and alerts, delivers a preview of those messages and creates the opportunity for users to accept or discretly ignore those messages.
